Range. From southern China to New Guinea and Australia. In Myanmar, found in Bago, Chin, Mandalay, and Yangon.


Fruit used as an anthelmintic and laxative.



Throughout tropical regions of India.


Gland and hair of fruit— purgative, anthelmintic, styptic. Used for the treatment of tapeworm infestation; in scabies, ringworm, herpes.

Fruit—hypoglycaemic, spasmolytic, antibacterial.
