Range. Indo-Malaysian region. Cultivated in Myanmar.

Uses. Bark and Seed: Used in treating diabetes.

Leaf: A decoction is used to treat sore eyes.



Cultivated in many parts of India.


Fruit—used in liver complaints.

Bark—astringent, antidiarrhoeal, antidysenteric.

Leaves—astringent, anti-inflammatory.
