Medical use
Drug: Entire plant, root. In infusion it is said to be a depurative of the blood; it also helps against flu, cough, biliary fever and is antiinflammatory. Macerated in water it is used as a laxative and febrifuge. Likewise the entire plant in decoction is purgative. It is also considered as a sudorific and helps against irritations. Taken 3 times a day, the decoction cures dyspepsia and even helps to improve the memory.
Method of use
Infusion, decoction, macerated. The decoction is prepared with 10 g of the plant stuff in 100 g water and taken 3 times a day.
Healing properties
Laxative, sudorific, depurative of the blood, febrifuge, antiinflammatory.
Chemical contents
Leucoanthocyanins, flavonoids, fatty oils in the seeds.
