PARTE UTILIZADA= Used part: Flores.
ACCIÓN FARMACOLÓGICA= Pharmacological action: Jaqueca (flores).
COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: C. insignis Seed oil contained 11.7-12.6% (of total fatty acids) malvalic acid and 5.6-7.1% sterculic acid. The corresponding values of C. speciosa were 7.5-8 and 6.2-7.5%. The 2 acids were detd. by a modification of the method of E. L. Schneider, et al. (1968). The modified method involves sapon., sepn. of total fatty acids from the unsaponifiable fraction, Kircher reaction (Kircher, H. W., 1965), methylation with MeOH in 15% H2SO4, and gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry, using a column packed with EGS on Chromosorb W-AW, and He carrier gas.
ZONA GEOGRÁFICA= Geografical zone: Bolivia, Paraguay, Brasil y NO de Argentina. /fotosplantas/chorisia_insignis.jpg
