Preparación: hervir unas hojas en un litro de agua y tomar como agua de tiempo.
Ethnobotanical and general use
The plant was formerly used as a remedy for syphilis. The root is considered to have antihaemorrhagic properties. An infusion of the leaves is said to alleviate erysipelas. The natives beat the stinging leaves and inflorescences on aching joints as a counterirritant.
