An infusion of the leaves and the stem helps to calm the stomach and break down kidney stones. The infusion is said to be an antiseptic and to act as a vulnerary when used as a wash (González F. 1979; González S. 1979; Martínez 1969; Sánchez C. 1981; Vines 1960).
