Leaf: Macerated leaves are used as an antipruritic by the Guyana Patamona. Juice from macerated leaves is used as an ointment for treating persistent sores or “bush yaws”, by the Guyana Patamona. Macerated leaves are vigorously rubbed on the skin to treat chicken pox and measles, by the Guyana Patamona.
