Root and Stem-bark: Decoction is used as remedy for pain in the joints.

Stem: Bark used as a febrifuge in 19th century French Guiana. In NW Guyana, bark used to treat scorpion bites and exudate used for sore eyes.

Leaf: To treat cataracts in the eyes of domestic dogs.
