Whole plant: Decoction is drunk by expectant mothers for easier childbirth. Decoction, or sometimes an infusion with vermouth or gin, is drunk for stomachache or malaria. Used as a febrifuge by women and children.
Stem: Piece of liana is boiled in water, which is drunk for painful uterus, painful pregnancy and stomachache; sudorific.
