Action:
Bitter fruits—blood purifier (used in the treatment of skin diseases); germicidal; appetizer, laxative (used in bilious disorders); hepatoprotective.
Root and seed—anthelmintic, antifebrile.
Whole plant—antipyretic.
Root— cathartic.
Leaves—used externally in alopecia.
