COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: Seventeen chem. compds. were isolated from the whole plants of Equisetum ramosissimum, a plant belonging to Equisetum of Equisetaceae by column chromatog., thin-layer chromatog. and recrystn., and structurally identified by modern spectroscopic technol. to be 5alpha,6alpha-epoxy-beta-ionone-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), loliolide (2), cycloart-24(30)-ene-3beta-ol (3), cycloart-22(23)-ene-3beta-ol (4), ergost-6,22-diene-3beta,5alpha,8alpha-triol (5), friedelinol (6), apigene (7), genkwanin (8), genkwanin-5-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (9), apigene-5-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (10), luteolin (11), quercetin-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (12), kaempferol-3-beta-D-glucopyranoside (13), kaempferol-3-O-beta-D-glucose-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (14), adenine (15), beta-sitosterol (16), and beta-daucosterol (17). Of them, 1-5 and 15 were isolated from the plants of this genus for the first time.
