Whole plant: Boiled with Stachytarpheta jamaicensis and Cordia curassavica and the liquid drunk to treat hypertension.

Stem and Leaf: Decoction of aerial parts of the plant is taken with a pinch of salt to treat children's thrush and adult's leucorrhoea.
