A perennial grass, cultivated chiefly in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh., Punjab and theWest Coast.
Action:
Root—infusion used as refrigerant, febrifuge, diaphoretic; stimulant, stomachic, antispasmodic, emmenagogue, astringent, blood purifier. Used in fevers, colic, flatulence, vomiting, spermatorrhoea and strangury.
Root oil—used in obstinate vomiting, colic and flatulence.
