Stem: Bark macerated in rum for a vermifuge, antimalarial and bitter tonic. Inner bark in a decoction to remedy malaria, cutaneous eruptions, and to assist childbirth.
Stem and Seed: Infusion of bark and seeds used as an antidote for snakebite and as a febrifuge for mild or intermittent fever.
Leaf: Powdered for a dog-mange remedy.
