ACCIÓN FARMACOLÓGICA= Pharmacological action: Vulnerario (hojas), antiflogístico, estomacal, antihelmético, tónico, sudorífico.
COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: Assays' for rotenone were neg. in Synandrospadix vermitoxicus, Psoralea higuerilla, Clematis hilarii, Enterolobium contortisiliquum, Heterothalamus spartioides, Shkuria pinnata. In the leaves of Poiretia tetraphylla (the plant is fully described and illustrated) at 6.45% moisture 0.0975% rotenone was found by the method of Goodhue (C.A. 30, 2690.9) and the flowers at 6.43% moisture contained 0.095%. Against Schizaphis graminum, 10 g. applied as a suspension in water was as effective as 0.45 g. of a 40% soln. of nicotine sulfate.
