Summary
Muña muña (Satureja parvifolia - Labiatae) is a highlands shrub that grown in Northwestern Argentina, Southern Peru, Northern Chile and Bolivia. Highly reputed in Argentina as an aphrodisiac, there is at least one preliminary study that could account for the effects of this species on sexual behaviour. The antimicrobial, antimalaric and digestive properties are also of importance, some of which have been validated from a pharmacological point of view.
