Action:
Herb—astringent, antiseptic, blood-purifier, sedative, antileucorrhoeic, antidiarrhoeal, anti-catarrhal. Used in dysmenorrhoea, haemoptysis, bronchitis.
Root—astringent, antiseptic (used against scabies and other skin diseases).
Flowers—prescribed in dysentery and dysmenorrhoea.
