Origin:
Temperate Himalaya from Kashmir to Bhutan.
Action:
Resin—laxative.
Leaves— diuretic; used in the formof infusion in gout, rheumatism, dropsy, and as a solvent of stones in the kidneys; used in skin affections, especially eczema.
Bark—used in convulsions.
Oil—astringent, antiseptic.
