Wild in dry regions of Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. Cultivated in other parts of India.

Action:
Roots—used in skin diseases and asthma. Flowers enter into compounds for diabetes, urinary disorders and nocturnal emissions.
