Throughout the warmer parts of India, from Jammu and Rajasthan to Assam and up to 300m.
Action:
Leaves, seeds, roots— astringent, applied to ulcers and boils.
Leaves—diaphoretic (recommended in high fever). Rootgiven in anaemic conditions.
Aerial parts—CNS active, hypothermic.
