Origin:
Throughout tropical andsub-tropical tracts of India.

Action:
Root—laxative, sudorific, alterative, antirheumatic.
Leaf—used externally for eczema, prurigo and inpetigo. A decoction of leaves is taken in eczema, leucorrhoea and gonorrhoea.
