Temperate Himalaya from Kashmir to Kumaon at 2,200-4,100, also in eastern Himalaya.

Action:
Leaf and flower—astringent, antiscorbutic.
Seed—expectorant, anti-inflammatory, febrifuge, antidysenteric.
Aerial parts— antiviral, hypoglycaemic.
