Origin:
The Deccan Peninsula, extending northwards to eastern Himalayas.
Action:
Leaves—decoction prescribed in fever, also in venereal diseases.
Root—used in mammary umours and abscesseses, pneumonia and infantile diarrhoea. Plant infusion is used as a cough remedy for infants.
