COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: From the bark of Aeschrion crenata Vell. (sin. Picrasma crenata (Vell.) Engl.) 1-carbomethoxy-beta-carboline (I) and two new beta-carboline bases, named crenatine (II) and crenatidine (III), have been isolated. The structures of II and III are 1-ethyl-4-methoxy-beta-carboline and 1-ethyl-4,8-dimethoxy-beta-carboline, respectively. © 1971.
