Origin:
Common in sub-Himalayan tract.
Action:
Plant—mucilaginous, antiinflammatory, febrifuge.
Leaf and root—antirheumatic. The leaves stimulate saliva. A paste of leaves is applied in body pains, used in poultices for skin diseases.
