Origin:
The Western Himalayas, between 1,800 and 3,300 m. Found wild.
Action:
Plant—mild sedative, diuretic, diaphoretic, expectorant, antiseptic. Seed demulcent. The seeds are used in the formof powder for coughs and as a decoction for insomnia.
