Simla, Kumaon and plains of North India.

Action:

Leaves—demulcent, emollient; used in glycosuria, stomach disorders and as emmenagogue; used as poultice for maturing abscesses.

Seeds—demulcent; prescribed in bronchitis, cough, inflammation of the bladder and haemorrhoids.
