Subtropical Himalayas from the Ravi eastwards at 900 – 2,100 m
Action:
Bark—carminative, antiseptic. Used in fever, cough and asthma; also as a snuff in catarrh with headache.
Fruit wax— used externally for ulcers.
Fruit— pectoral, sedative.
