Origin
The temperate Himalayas from Kashmir to Bhutan, the Nilgiris, KhasiHills and Travancore.
Action:
Leaf—anticephalalgic (applied to the forehead). Leaf and stem-bark—spasmolytic.
Flowers— used in diarrhoea and dysentery.
