Action:
Distilled water from flowers— cordial, stimulant; externally applied to headache.
Stem and leaves—astringent.
Leaves—decoction used as febrifuge.
Bark and twigs—astringent, applied to piles.
Ash of wood—used in haemoptysis; mixed with vinegar, applied to piles.
