Origin
Native to Sri Lanka; found along coastal regions of India from Bengal to Tamil Nadu.
Action:
See S. roxburghiana.
Leaves and rhizomes are applied externally in high fever with delirium.
Rhizomes—diuretic, diaphoretic, expectorant.
