Warmer regions of India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh. Bihar, West Bengal and Assam.
Action:
Aerial parts—hypoglycaemic.
Fruits—juice of unripe fruits used in spermatorrhoea.
Leaves—febrifuge; prescribed as a diet in enlargement of liver and spleen; piles and fistula.
Root— cathartic, febrifuge.
