COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: Aerial parts of Ophryosporus charua afforded several known and five new benzofuran derivatives, as well as two prenylated p-hydroxyacetophenone derivatives. The essential oil contained lavandulyl acetate, lavandulol and dehydrotremetone as the main constituents.

Lavandulyl acetate  [20777-39-3] was identified as the main (.apprx.90% of the sample) constituent of O. charua essential oil.
