ACCIÓN FARMACOLÓGICA= Pharmacological action: Expectorante, tónica, calmante y diurética.

POSOLOGÍA= Posology: Tratamiento de las hinchazones producidas por los golpes y caídas. Coger unas cuantas hojas frescas, machacarlas y aplicarlas como cataplasma directamente sobre las partes afectadas por la inflamación; sujetar con una venda. Cambiar 2 o 3 veces al día de cataplasma. Seguir con la cura hasta que desaparezca el mal.

COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: Flavonoides, saponinas, primaverina, primulaverina, primulina, kaempferol, materias minerales.

DIVERSIDAD GENÉTICA Y MEJORAMIENTO DE PLANTAS MEDICINALES= Medicinal plants and improvement of medicinal herbs:

The nucleotide sequences of the nuclear rDNA ITS regions were detd. for 34 species of the genus Primula L. and one species of the genus Cortusa L., family Primulaceae Vent., and used to infer the phylogenetic relationships among these species.  In this anal. species of the Russian flora and the flora of adjacent territories were studied for the first time.  The results clarified the taxomic structure of the genus Primula and confirmed the entity of some of its sections; but not the subgenera sensu J.Richards.  Our data do not support an independent status of the genus Cortusa, placing it as one of the terminal lineages of the section Cortusoides Balf. f. in the genus Primula.
