ACCIÓN FARMACOLÓGICA= Pharmacological action: Antimalárico. 

COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: The petroleum ether ext. of the medicinal plant B. ruscifolia was analyzed by gas chromatog. on SS, 3% SE 30 and OV 17 on Chromosorb W columns. Alkanes, alcs. and sterols were found as well as anthocyanins, the major one being delphinidin 3-malylglucoside. Results were corroborated by electrophoresis, alk. hydrolysis, further chromatog., and IR spectroscopy.
